Molto Bene! Fingas Cooking & Wine

Recently my good friend, fellow kiwi and top chef Dereke Bruce and I put together our first cooking and wine matching class at Dereke’s Taichung restaurant – Fingas.

First up was chicken cacciatore the classic Italian dish. Thanks to all the intrepid would-be chefs for an entertaining morning and what was, I’m sure a fun lunch. In the end a Ripasso Valpolicella from Lamberti beat out the competition from an Albai Rioja Reserva to be our wine match of the day. Everyone left happy and with ten fingers intact.
